Paddy

Paddy is a 5 ys old terrier/collie mix

now great with kids, adults, all ages. Hes a good guard dog.

He is upto date with annual vaccines

He would be in his element plenty of running off leash, playing etc and someone with another dog or 2

Paddy is house trained chipped & neutered will mix with other dogs infact, he would prefer to play all the time he is a high energy dog with his breed sheepdog/jack russell.

prefers to be off leash and for his forever home a family with a large garden or an acre of land would suit him better and he would be very happy with that

Milo

Milo is a 4year old male German Shepard. Milo would love a home in the countryside with a secure garden (this is a must as he chases cars inside the boundary fence) where he has a lot of space to run around. Milo needs a child free home, despite growing up with kids he cannot cope with the noise of babies and is overwhelmed by the noise of a busy 3child household. Milo currently lives with a collie x lab companion but we feel a household where he is the only dog would be best for him. He has a tendency to only like dogs he met prior to turning 2years old. Milo lives for playing ball and frisbee and never tires of playing, it is his greatest love. Milo enjoys walks but is very strong on the lead, sniff walks are his favourite. Milo enjoys wading in water and retrieving sticks from the shallows. He loves a good dig in the sand too. Milo is calm indoors and enjoys having his own space to pan out indoors. He is crate trained.

Zelda – HOME PENDING

This beautiful 4 year old German Shepherd almost broke the internet with her rescue story in May 2024 – tied up, emaciated and defending her 7 discarded pups – but in spite of the outpouring of love for her, she has had no offer of a home.

Zelda is the most human-oriented dog at WCAWG.  She is happy, gentle and affectionate with all people, she would do fine in a busy home or a calm home, a home with children (12+) or a home without children, all she needs is to love and be loved.

The only essential requirement for Zelda is a secure garden in a rural area. The garden should be reasonably large so she has plenty of room to exercise at home. Zelda is not good with all dogs which is why we would prefer rural so there is less chance of her meeting other dogs on her walks.  She is strong so it could be hard for an owner walking her in an urban setting.

We’re heartbroken that Zelda is waiting this long. She is the most loving of all the dogs and we can see that this prolonged spell at our rescue is becoming harder for her. Please share her story so we can find her her happy outcome – noone deserves it more.

If you think you can answer our prayers for Zelda and offer her a new love-filled future please fill in our Adoption Questionnaire – West Cork Animals
