Wilson

Beautiful Wilson, who is 2 years old, is looking to find his new home! Wilson has been with us for several months and although initially a little scared, he has become the sweetest cat who is very affectionate and extremely gentle. He gives the very best head bops, adores curling up on your lap or on a comfy blanket and loves having someone around for company and attention.

Our vets have identified that Wilson has a minor heart murmur. It caused no problem during his neutering surgery and there are no signs that it affects him, but it should be borne in mind for any future surgery.

In addition, Wilson has had a couple of bouts of stress-induced cystitis.  It is easy to get under control and calms down within a few days, but the unfortunate aspect is that when he moves home it could flare up immediately with the change of environment.  New owners should be prepared to not panic and to follow our vet-approved guidance in managing it over that first week in his new home until it settles again.

We are looking for an experienced family, who has the patience and understanding to allow Wilson to adapt at his own pace. A home with one or two adults would be ideal, and without dogs or younger children, so he won’t be startled by sudden movements or loud unexpected noises while he is still getting used to his new surroundings.

He would work best in a home as a solo cat, but responds well to other very friendly foster cats, so as long as slow introductions are made he could also make a good companion for an existing cat.

Although Wilson comes with a couple of additional considerations, he is such a gentle and sweet cat, and we would love to see him with a family that will appreciate his sweet nature and not be fazed.  Advice, guidance and support will be provided throughout the initial few weeks to ensure his new family is set up for a successful integration into their loving home.

The perfect home is in a rural setting, away from busy roads, where Wilson will have access to the outdoors when the time comes.
