Millie

Millie is a 5 year old female collie who was surrendered to the rescue centre by heartbroken owners when it became apparent that Millie was not going to accept the arrival of a newborn in the house.

Millie is only adapting slowly to her change in circumstance and we would love to see her back in a home where she can get the attention and human companionship she really wants.

Millie is a smart cookie – you can ask her to sit from a full field away and she will immediately sit until released from it! She has a whole load of tricks which she loves showing us!  She also occupies herself nicely with toys and she is a dream to walk onlead.

Millie has always been an only dog, which is probably what we would like to see again.  Although she is very independent when around other dogs, she is also respectful and tolerant with all of the ones she meets on walks here at the centre.

Whoever takes her will need to give her plenty of time to understand that this is her new home.  She will be shy and confused initially so will need the space and encouragement to settle.

We are looking for a gentle, adult-only (or children 14+) home with access to lovely, rural walks for Millie. A home with a secure area would be preferrable.
