Loki

Loki is a 4 year old collie x setter mix.   He is a sensational looking dog – tall with a long lush coat, and some of the spotty features of the English setter on his legs and chest. He is neutered and fully house trained and is ready to look for his new home.

Loki came into the centre as his family did not have a secure garden and could not always trust him to stay within their boundary.  Also, they had lots of visiting children who tended to make him anxious so it just wasn’t working.

Loki is a very happy dog, he is exceptional with other dogs and he loves to go on big walks and play with toys. Loki is very affectionate and listens to commands like “sit”, “paw”, “down” , “stay” and many more.

He still needs some continued training off the lead and with recall because his focus is more Setter than collie – a touch daft!  At the centre here, when we call the dogs back on their offlead walks he happily comes with them, so learning by being with another dog in the home could be a big benefit.  Otherwise, an owner who has experience using a long-line with offlead training (or similar) would be great.

We would like a home without young kids, best would be only adults, but he does well with teenagers 15+.  A secure garden is preferrable and an active, hands-on, loving home is essential for him.

To apply for the very lovely Loki who has been an absolute pleasure since arriving here, please read the Rehoming Process on the website and fill in our Adoption Questionnaire.
