Barnaby

Handsome Barnaby is an approx 5 year old lurcher who came to the centre having been found straying around West Cork

Barnaby is extremely mellow, he rarely goes mad for zoomies, just jogs along contentedly around the fields.  He is a dream to walk onlead –  very mannerly, no pulling or straining.

Barnaby is fine with other dogs but we have no history for him around cats so we will aim for a home with no cats (we presume he has been used for hunting in the past). He is becoming a huge fan of a cosy bed and also of toys, he would be fine to be left for several leaving hours a day.

Barnaby’s only issue is around food.  In his past he probably needed to grab food from wherever possible and this has formed bad habits. We are working on it but unfortunately it will affect the age of children with whom he can be rehomed. Older sensible teenagers minimum for Barnaby – at least until we have him being more patient and gentle with treats and meals.
