Levi

Levi is a very special little lurcher who we cannot wait to see loved and cosy in a new home. He is been with us for months because he was so terribly underweight and unwell when he arrived (and because we adore having him here, what an absolute gentleman!)
We would happily rehome Levi to most homes – he will be lovely around children, dogs, we may even consider cats! This dog is just the soundest, softest dog ever – to meet him is to love him! He walks nicely onlead, sticks with you offlead, adores every other dog, loves bed!!!
With Levi, it is more the veterinary side to discuss. He was so skinny and low in energy over a prolonged period that we started to worry there may be some underlying condition. Throughout the last 10 weeks he has had bloods taken, scans and xrays to rule out every possible issue. The vets have now signed him off as healthy, but weight-gain and not too-much-exercise remain important for a while.
Levi is slightly anaemic which vets suspect is from starvation over a long time as a young fella. He also has increased globulin levels which indicate that he was fighting infection / inflammation across many months. When we first got him we found a wooden fork in his stomach (eating out of bins maybe??) which was safely removed and may be the source of that globulin increase. Again, a steady diet to increase his weight and robustness is all that the vets’ advise to his future owners now.
Please consider giving Levi the care and happiness and love he deserves, you could not be getting a more wonderful animal. To apply, please read the Adoption Process on the website and apply using the Adoption Questionnaire.
