Barnaby

Handsome Barnaby, a 5 year old lurcher, is a terrific all-rounder and very easy to care for.  Lurchers can be hard to rehome but we are hoping his stunning grey coat and well-balanced nature will help him ease his way into someone’s heart.

Barnaby came to us recently after being found roaming in West Cork.  Since arriving he has been an absolute superstar. He is biddable and affectionate with people and he is brillo with all dogs – small and large.  We have no history at all of Barnaby around cats so we will err on the side of no cats for Barnaby because we presume he has been used for hunting in the past.

Barnaby is extremely mellow, he rarely goes mad for zoomies, just jogs along contentedly around the fields.  He is a dream to walk onlead –  very mannerly, no pulling or straining.   He is immaculately house-trained, this will be smooth from the start in his new home.

Barnaby’s only issue is around food.  In his past he probably needed to grab food from wherever possible and this has formed bad habits. We are working on it but unfortunately it will affect the age of children with whom he can be rehomed. Older sensible teenagers minimum for Barnaby – at least until we have him being more patient and gentle with treats and meals.
