Lassie

Lassie is a stunning 5 year old collie mix who came into the rescue when her owner was taken into respite. We love this dog – she is clever, reliable and full of confidence.

Lassie loves a cosy bed full of many toys to keep herself entertained with.  She is such a clever lady and is incredibly independent – no neediness here! Leaving hours will not be a problem for her she is incredibly settled and self-sufficient.

Lassie is phenomenal off the lead, stays close and has excellent recall. She would probably do best in a rural home where she has plenty of offlead time –  restrained leadwalks in urban settings are not for her!

We will not rehome Lassie with children under 14, she does not like to be grabbed or pushed or manhandled, she would be a much better companion for a single-person or couple, rather than a family pet.

Lassie gets along well with other dogs here at the rescue, we walk her in a big gang of dogs all the time.  But she is the boss and the other dogs recognise and respect that! She would likely do best in a single-dog home, but a strong, playful companion dog may work too depending on a meet-and-greet.  Lassie cannot be homed with cats.
