Cats
If you would like to offer one of the following cats a home, please read through our adoption process page before proceeding. Most of the cats that are with us are friendly cats that have been found by people who are unable to care for them, or cats that have previously lived in a home and through no fault of their own have ended up in our care. Most of our cats and kittens are friendly and outgoing, some are a little more timid but are comfortable with people. We occasionally take in barn cats, these are feral cats that will live in a cosy barn outdoors.
We make every effort to ensure that all our cats go to caring homes that are suited to their individual needs and temperaments, we will do a home check to ensure your home is suitable for the pet you have chosen. We do not rehome cats or kittens to anyone living on a busy road or in a built-up, traffic-heavy area, and we prefer them to be allowed indoors, unless they are barn cats, and have safe access to outside.
All our cats and kittens are neutered/spayed, vaccinated and wormed before adoption. We ask for a minimum adoption fee of €60 for a cat or kitten.
Viewing the cats at our rescue centre is by appointment only Monday to Saturday 11am – 3pm. You can make an appointment either by email, after filling out the adoption form. If you are going on holiday or moving home in the near future please contact us after the event not before as we are unable to reserve a cat or kitten for more than a few days.
New pets can take a little while to settle into their new surroundings, some will settle in within a couple of days, others may take a few weeks to adjust. We are always available by phone or email for any help or advice you may need.

Cats not at our rescue centre needing homes
Due to a lack of space at our kennels, the cats listed below are with their owners who are looking to re-home them, they are NOT at our rescue center and we don’t have any additional information on the animal. All cats are neutered or spayed and no money should be exchanged, but we appreciate any donation towards the continuation of our work. For more information about the following cats or to make arrangements to see them, please fill out the adoption form, and we will forward the enquiry onto the current owner. IT IS UP TO THE OWNER TO CONTACT YOU, once we have sent on the questionnaire all responsibility to contact the applicant lies with the owner.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE ANIMALS ARE NOT IN THE DIRECT CARE OR RESPONSIBILITY OF WCAWG, THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR REHOMING AND BACK-UP RESIDES WITH THE PERSON REHOMING THEM.
The person rehoming the animal is responsible for responding to all enquiries, the home visit, and taking the animal back, should a home not work out.
