Zuma

Zuma is a 7 month old chocolate Lab x Collie.  She is a very sweet, playful dog but she is mistrustful of new people, she will be looking for owners who are prepared to work on positive socialisation.

Zuma loves playing with other dogs and would do really well with a companion dog in the home. Her house-training is still a bit hit-and-miss so owners will need a consistent routine for those first weeks to help her understand what is expected.

Zuma absolutely loves toys, she will keep herself occupied for ages with them! She walks reasonably well onlead but could do with a bit more input as well as being introduced to a harness. She is very reliable off the lead, always checking back with you.  Having toys or treats with you for those first few offlead moments will ensure she’s right with you!

Her wariness with people comes from not regularly meeting new people throughout her early life.  It only takes a couple of minutes for her to warm to everybody, we hope that with plenty of encouraging introductions she will shed the wariness as she gains trust in her surroundings.

Children 12+ for Zuma and long leaving hours will not suit this young, interactive dog.
