*** Special Needs Kitten ***
Theia, aka Fly, is an adorable, bouncetastic, nose-booping, finger-licking good wee girl kitten. She is nearly all black except a wee white splash on her chest and an itsy-bitsy teeny-weeny white bikini.
Theia was found by the road, very thin, snuffly and with a very bad eye infection. Despite her awful state, this wee baby was most affectionate and adorable. She is flying it now, fully recovered and in lovely condition, with lush, soft fur and a round full tummy.
However, her eyes have permanent scarring from her illness – you can see the opacity in her photo. This gives her the look of a tiny guru – and she is willing to share her wisdom with anyone who will play with her and/or skritch her head.
The scarring means, though she seems to be able to see well, her sight must be affected. As a result, she is looking for a special home – indoor only, outdoor access only to a catio or totally enclosed garden. Her eyesight seems as good as any other kitten, but it’s not good enough for her to free roam outdoors.
Any potential guardian needs also to consider that her sight may deteriorate with age.
Theia will be available for rehoming from mid/late January. She’s looking early as she’s bored out her mind in foster and wants to be sure the purrfect home is waiting for her.
She’s around four and a half months old, and will be fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered by the time she is rehomed. She was named after the Titan goddess of sight (thea) and the shining ether of the bright, blue sky (aithre).
