Sam is a 9 year old Collie. He spent most of his life chained to a wall in an out house in a farm yard with only a bit of straw as bedding and no one for company. Sam was thankfully rescued from this situation and brought into our care. The first couple of days were tough for Sam, all the new sounds and smells were a little overwhelming but he seemed to be enjoying all the ‘newness’ never the less. A week or so passed and the real Sam emerged, a fun, happy loveable dog who always greets you with a happy face and a tail wag. He loves his grub and doesn’t really mind the company of other dogs but does prefer people really. He is good on lead, walks like a true gent. He is ok off lead although further recall training would be useful. He is very spritely for his age, although years of malnutrition and poor healthcare in general has meant he does suffer form a heart mummer.
