Temperament:

Eli is an affectionate and intelligent dog with a lively, energetic nature. He is well-trained and responds to commands such as sit, lay down, back up/away, drop/leave it, paw, and wait for meals until instructed to eat. He thrives on attention, enjoys human companionship, and loves being part of daily activities.

Play Behaviour:

Eli enjoys games like fetch and tug of war. He was taught to growl during play by previous owner, which may seem unusual but is part of his playful communication.

Exercise Needs:

He requires regular physical and mental stimulation due to his high energy levels and working breed background.

Socialisation:

Eli is not currently comfortable with other dogs and should be the only pet in the household. With patient, experienced handling and ongoing socialisation training, he may improve over time.

Health & Dietary Requirements:

Eli has a sensitive stomach and does best on a consistent diet of dry kibble and limited treats (e.g. carrots and bananas). No table scraps or sudden dietary changes. If transitioning to a new food, it should be done gradually over a two-week period.

Additional Notes:

Dislikes bath time but is manageable with reassurance.

Due to his dark coat, he can overheat easily and should be monitored in warm weather.
