Meet Arlo, an adorable Saluki cross who will be turning 4 this April. Rescued from Abu Dhabi in 2021, and relocated to Ireland in 2022, Arlo has come along way from his desert dog days. This sweet, timid boy is neutered, microchipped, and up to date with all his vaccines. He’s is toilet trained & crate trained, has decent recall & obeys basic commands. He needs a bit of work on his leash walking skills as he’s a bit of a tugger! Arlo’s ideal home would be one without babies/toddlers, as he can be anxious around their unpredictability (& the noise levels!), but he would do well with school age children who understand his need for space when required. He’s a gentle soul who loves being around other dogs, and his happiest moments are spent racing around the beach, where the sand reminds him of his roots. Though he’s not a big cuddler, Arlo is incredibly loyal and enjoys being near his humans, especially when it’s time to wind down at the end of the day. If you have a decent sized open space for Arlo to run around, and a peaceful environment where he can feel safe and loved, he will be your devoted companion for life.
