3 Female Outdoor Cats

These three lovely female cats have spent their entire lives together.  Originally strays who wandered onto a farm setting, they have been neutered and well-cared for.  The property is now up for sale and these 3 cats, need to find a new outside space to call their own.

Although these three are not handleable, they are curious and do interact nicely with the household from a slight distance. There is one who is more tame and will allow gentle rubs. As you can see, all 3 will poke their heads in for feeding but these are outdoor cats who have always had access to a warm shed / barn in their home.

They are looking for another outside home all together.  Whoever offers them this home will need to provide a comfortable space for them to be able to access for cosy shelter and also commit to feeding them regularly.

For the first approx 3 weeks these cats should be kept inside within a shed or barn until they realise that this is their new home.  If let out immediately they will just scarper so measures do need to be put in place to allow them time to adjust and trust this new person / place.

If interested in offering these 3 a home please fill in the Adoption Questionnaire and we will be back to you shortly!

Mousy

Mousey is a beautiful, fluffy black-and-white female cat between 3-6 years old. She came into our care as a frightened feral cat and is still very nervous and unsure around people.
She’ll need a calm, quiet home with someone patient and understanding who can give her the time and space to settle at her own pace. Ideally no other pets.
Mousey has had some health issues, and the vet has noted a heart murmur. She has been vaccinated, wormed, and spayed.
Her ideal home would be rural, away from busy roads, where she can safely explore outdoors once she feels secure.

Felix

Littel Felix is a young femi feral cat looking for a home of his own,

Unfortunately this little lad was caught at an age that might be a little too old to tame up to be a cuddly domestic pet but you never know! In the meantime we are looking for a safe shed or barn with a cosy bed, ideally with a few playmates where he will be cared for & fed regularly.

Misty

Ive been minding Misty for the last year. I think he was just barely fully grown when he arrived. I would guess less than 2 years old.  He’s neutered and a bit tame. He’s quiet a small compact male. Black with just a small barely there white dickey bow. He is an outdoor cat, but is very interested in coming in doors, he rolls over and shows us his belly and gives us leg rubs, hes a bit cheeky.

It would be very easy to fully tame him I think, he is a character.  But for us he was always an outdoor passing through cat.  Unfortunately  he is not a sociable with my other rescue cats, and my 2 indoor cats, he can be aggressive to the other cats. He would be suited to a house where he is the only cat. I think he has a lot to offer as a solo family cat,

Zina

The beautiful Zina, who is approximately 3-4 years old, is ready to find a home! She turned up as a stray at the house of someone who had previously adopted from us. Zina is a very healthy girl with the most gorgeous soft fur, who loves her food, hanging out in the hammock next to the window, spending time outside in the catio and bouncing around the room when nobody is looking!
Zina is quite shy and cautious, is still getting used to being handled, and isn’t comfortable yet with being picked up. However, she is very gentle, quiet, and likes to receive pets.
She has adapted really well to sharing her space with other friendly fosters, although she mostly keeps to herself, we can tell that she wants to bond with other cats and is quite happy to relax close to them.
We are optimistic that Zina has the potential to become more confident over time. Once in her new home, she is expected to shy away initially as she gets used to her new surroundings.
We are looking for an understanding family who will have tons of patience to allow her to settle in naturally, build more trust, and gradually work on her comfort level with people. A quiet household is essential, probably with one or two humans and without young kids or dogs. We would love for there to be an existing friendly cat in the home, to help Zina open up more.
If you think you could be the right family for the stunning Zina, please fill out the Adoption Questionnaire – West Cork Animals.

Wilson

Tucci *Special Needs Puss*

Tucci is a handsome 3-year-old white and ginger boy who hasn’t had the best start in life, but is ready for a loving forever home. He’s playful, confident, very friendly and full of personality.

We’re looking for a patient and understanding family who can give Tucci the time and support he needs to settle in. In return, he’ll offer loyalty, companionship, and lots of love.

Sadly, Tucci experienced neglect and mistreatment in his previous home, which has led to some behavioral challenges. He has made great progress in his foster home, but a move to a new environment may cause some temporary setbacks before he fully settles again.

For example, Tucci used to nip at hands when they were used to get his attention. With consistent training, this behavior has improved significantly and he no longer bites. However, adopters should be aware this may briefly return in a new home, and will require patience and gentle reinforcement to manage.

When stressed or frustrated, Tucci may pull out some of his fur—likely a coping response from his earlier experiences. This behavior has decreased as he’s grown more secure, but it can reappear during times of change. A calm, consistent home will give him the best chance to overcome this habit over time, though it may not disappear completely.

None of this is Tucci’s fault—he simply needs someone willing to understand his past and help him move forward.

Tucci is very interested in other companion animals, though his high energy can sometimes be overwhelming for them. Because of his background and sensitivities, a home without young children would be best.

Despite everything he has been through, Tucci has so much love to give. He wants to trust, he wants connection and play and he tries so hard. His name means “safe” or “secure” — exactly what we hope his new home will be.

Tucci is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, parasite treated and litter trained. He would be happy to visit a potential new home for a trial period to ensure it’s the right fit for everyone. If you’d like to know more, please fill out the Adoption Questionnaire – West Cork Animals and I will be happy to call you and answer any questions you may have.
